Vintage Italian Soup Tureen - 3D Relief

Bring the warmth of the Italian countryside to your home with this beautiful hand-painted late 20th century majolica soup tureen. While we cannot say where exactly this came from, it is indicative of the type of pottery common in Italy, and does have its artist's signature.
Best guess is that this came from either Bassano/Nove or Deruta, probably for the 80s or 90s. Unlike many of these types of tureens, this one does not have a slot for a ladle; usually such a ladle would be included, but with no slot in the design, we can assume there was never a ladle in the first place. On the plus side, the only damage on this at all is a small chip on the inside of the lid rim; the paint and the high relief on the outside are all pristine!
Diameter is 12", height 4". Truly a beautiful piece that belongs on a new table - yours!
