Serving Dishes with Old Cottage Chintz Pattern

Here are two serving dishes that are 9" in diameter, featuring a pattern called Old Cottage Chintz. Based on the stamps on the bottom of the piece, this is a Japanese copy of what was originally an English design in the mid 20th century. The company that produced this was called Highmount Quality,
These were made of papier mache and lacquered to protect them from liquids, hence the sticker on the bottom that says "Alcohol Proof". The company that put these out probably did so in the 1960s; given that amount of time, the pattern is in glorious condition, as the gloss and shimmer are still fully evident. The rims are a bit worn, however, so we are offering the pair for one combined attractive price.
