Here we have an exceptional piece, which probably qualifies for actual Antique status, which of course is 100+ years old (we have a few pieces that we suspect may be also, but we aren't quite sure). This is a green quartz, or soapstone, lamp with brass and wood in its base. There are two sockets for bulbs in the main part of the lamp, and there is a smaller bulb in the stone itself to illuminate it independently of the main function. It is very heavy, and very old, and we are listing this as local pickup only, but a collector from out of town who wishes to consult us about sending it to them will be welcomed also.
Our price is currently based on an estimate given to us by a lamp specialist, and after we gather some opinions that may change. Please note that the lampshade that we received with it, seen in a few of the pictures, has a stain that has proved impossible to remove. Also, the aforementioned expert does not believe this to be the original shade for the lamp. The finial is intact and is the only part we have detarnished. The stone part of lamp reaches 15" high and 10" wide. All lights work properly.
We would prefer that anyone interested in this piece please reach out to us in advance. Further photos will be provided.
