Dog statuette for the lawn

Here we have a small dog statue for your lawn or garden, sitting about 13" high and taking up an area about 10" x 8". It is a resin statue, not stone, despite its appearance; weight is about 4 1/2 pounds.
We really have no idea what this breed is imagined to be, but our best guess is some kind of spaniel or hound. Is that the same thing? I must admit that small dogs are not my area of expertise, but if they are yours, then perhaps this handsome pup belongs in your garden!
