Corn Dish by Peasant Village from Italy

Spruce up the BBQ decor with this corn-themed platter that actually comes from Italy, which is interesting because in Italy corn is usually used to make polenta, no? In any event, the platter was MADE in Italy but from what we could find online, they were commissioned by Mittledorfer Straus for their Peasant Village line of serveware. Mittledorfer Straus was a store in New York from 1928 until the early 70s, so this has to be at least that old. And yet we do not see any chips or cracks.
Let's assume the later part of that timeline and call it 60s. The platter is 13 1/2" long, and 8 1/2" wide. The corn that you see int he picture is embossed/raised off the surface; so if you had corn sitting on this, it would be prevented from rolling off the plate, one would presume, by that surface friction. Regardless of the physics, the platter looks super cool and deserves to be at some great BBQs this summer!
