Butter Dish Silver Plated

Here we have a silver plated butter dish, with a lid that features handle in a shell pattern. There is a rope-like edging around the rim of both the top and bottom, giving it a quite sophisticated look. We cannot identify the actual manufacturer of this item, but whoever made it gave it a pattern number of 1271.
9" long, 7" wide, about 3" tall when closed. Easily fits a standard stick of butter, but it ALSO will comfortably fit something like a Kerrygold wide stick that comes in a pound box. Not at the same time, I don't think, but you know what I mean. A few typical age spots here and there, but not major. Minor scratches also. This and the gray boats we have listed would make a fine addition to any table!
