Vegetable Serving Dish with Lid

This is a silver-plated vegetable serving dish, manufactured by Gorman, product number YC426/4. It comes as a set, with the lid fitting into the design of the bottom. you can tell which is which because the lid has handles with which to remove it at the table. Definitely a classy way to spruce up the dinner table!
This was definitely used by the family that owned it before. We won't lie, there are plenty of wear marks - but the silver still shines, as you can see in the photos. We have shown the flaws as they are, but that also means you can see what a great piece this is. After all, this is probably from the middle of the 20th century, likely the 1970s. One would use a trivet as a base at the table, unless of course you're serving cold vegetables, but good luck getting the kids to eat that.
Silver plating should only be handled with appropriate silver tarnish wipes or with silver polish on a soft cloth. DO NOT use abrasives! The tarnish will come right off with the proper polish, you need not rub with anything more than your hands. Other metals are dependent on their exact type, but we are happy to email you with our recommendations.
